Midcentury Danish chair Model 56 in teak and leather by Niels Otto Møller 1960s
This chair with armrests is designed by Niels Otto Møller and manufactured by J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik in Denmark in the 1960s. There is a label by the manufacturer. This is model 56. It basically is the famous model 75 but then with armrests. The design is refined in every detail. The connection between the arm rest and front leg is very organic. The frame is in solid teak, showing very beautiful drawings. The original upholstery is in cognac leather in good vintage condition. Back in the sixties they used aniline leather for the very best quality. The seating comfort is reasonably good, but not perfect. This chair in teak is in very good condition due to the renown Møbelfabrik workshop with over 35 years of experience with wood treatments. The chair is ready to use.
