Midcentury Danish top quality desk in teak 1950s
Midcentury Danish top quality desk in teak 1950s
This desk is very well designed and made in Denmark in the 1950s. It is a top piece in very good condition! unfortunately there are only 'made in Denmark' stamps and no reference to a designer or manufacturer. After intensive search we assume the desk is a masterpiece from a promising designer or cabinetmaker, but we have no proof from who.
There are beautiful drawings in the wood. The desk top has upstanding edges on 3 sides. The front offers 2 drawers, an extra writing space and a magazine holder. The back has an open shelf and a bar compartment. The original key is available. The way the rounded legs run into the sides and the desk top is remarkable. Also the black cut in the legs is a nice design feature. This desk is in teak and in very good condition due to the renown Møbelfabrik workshop with over 35 years of experience with wood treatments.
The chair in the second picture is available: Midcentury Danish chair with armrests in teak by Arne Hovmand Olsen for Mogens Kold 1960s
